Over 200 representations supported annually

Child Protection Force supports over 200 legal representations annually, assisting survivors through every stage of the justice process—from lodging police complaints to trial and post-judgment follow-up. These cases span a range of complex issues, including sexual abuse, cyber exploitation, trafficking, and incest. Our legal team works tirelessly to ensure that each survivor is heard, protected, and guided through a system that is often overwhelming and retraumatizing.

More than 600 state officers trained since 2021

Since 2018, Child Protection Force has trained over 800 state officers, including police officers, probation officers, child protection officers, and judicial staff. These trainings focus on trauma-informed practice, sensitive interviewing, and the proper application of child protection laws. By strengthening the knowledge and responsiveness of frontline actors, we aim to reduce secondary victimization and build a more compassionate, survivor-centered justice system across Sri Lanka.

Legal wins resulting in court-ordered compensation for survivors

While legal victories remain limited, Child Protection Force has successfully secured court-ordered compensation in several landmark cases involving child survivors. These outcomes demonstrate what is possible when the system works—but also highlight the urgent need for broader legal reform. Our work continues to push for a justice system that consistently recognises the harm done to survivors and holds perpetrators accountable.
